Temporary Furniture Mover & Assembler Duration:

Environment:

K-12 School Building Role Overview We are seeking hardworking, reliable individuals to assist with a large-scale furniture transition project. You will be responsible for moving heavy items and assembling new furniture to prepare our learning spaces for students and staff. Because this work takes place in a school environment, all candidates must maintain a high standard of professional conduct.

Key Responsibilities Assembly:

Efficiently assemble desks, chairs, shelving units, and other modular furniture using manual and small power tools (primarily drills).

Moving:

Safely transport furniture, boxes, and equipment between classrooms, hallways, and storage areas.

Setup:

Arrange furniture according to provided floor plans or supervisor instructions.

Site Care:

Unbox items and dispose of packaging materials to keep hallways clear and safe.

Requirements & Qualifications Physical Ability:

Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the day.

Technical Skill:

Proven experience using small power tools (cordless drills) and basic hand tools.

Clearance:

A mandatory background check must be passed prior to starting, as per school safety regulations.

Professionalism:

Ability to follow directions closely and work independently or as part of a team.

Site Policies & Dress Code Attire:

Long pants and closed-toed shoes are required at all times for safety.

Appearance:

Shirts must be professional and free of any obscene or inappropriate graphics/language.

Tobacco-Free Campus:

No smoking or vaping is permitted anywhere inside the building or on school grounds.
