Moving Helper / Mover (Independent Contractor) Archangel Ministering Salt Lake City, UT Job Details Part-time | Contract $18 - $20 an hour 11 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Packing Moving Manual packaging Truck loading and unloading Blanket wrap Full Job Description Seeking reliable Moving Helpers to assist customers with loading, unloading, packing, unpacking, furniture wrapping, and general moving labor. This is an Independent Contractor (1099) position. Work is on an as-needed basis. Contractors are contacted when jobs become available.
Starting Pay:
$18-$20 per hour Customer tips are yours to keep
Responsibilities:
Load and unload moving trucks, trailers, and storage units Wrap and protect furniture using moving blankets and stretch wrap Follow company moving procedures and training Safely lift and move furniture and household goods Communicate professionally with customers Report any damage, accidents, or safety concerns immediately
Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years old Able to lift and carry heavy furniture Reliable transportation Smartphone with internet access Government-issued photo ID Complete contractor on-boarding process Complete training videos Sign contractor agreement Complete W-9 This position is ideal for movers, laborers, warehouse workers, construction workers, college students, and anyone looking for flexible work opportunities. As an independent contractor, you are responsible for your own taxes. Contractors may wish to consult a tax professional regarding potential deductions related to business expenses such as mileage, fuel, supplies, vehicle expenses, cell phone usage, and other qualifying expenses. Work is assigned based on customer demand and contractor availability.
