Type:

full-time

OVERVIEW

Protect what matters. We need a careful, dependable field technician who can handle the physical work, the digital documentation, and the customer trust that come with contents restoration.

WHY THIS

ROLEThis is hands-on restoration work with a real standard behind it. You will learn disciplined inventory, packing, chain-of-custody, contents handling, field documentation, transport, cleaning support, and pack-back. If you take pride in doing physical work carefully, showing up when you said you would, and leaving a customer with more confidence than they had when you arrived, you can build real skill here.

YOU WILL

OWNInventory rooms and contents using approved photo, barcode, labeling, and project systems.

Wrap, pad, box, crate, move, load, secure, transport, store, retrieve, and return customer belongings without losing chain of custody.

Protect floors, doors, walls, furniture, fragile items, commercial contents, and unaffected property while work is underway.

Support approved contents cleaning methods such as HEPA vacuuming, damp wiping, hand cleaning, and deodorization within your training.

Verify inventory and condition during pack-back; unpack, place, and reassemble items as directed and document concerns immediately.

YOU WILL PROBABLY THRIVE HERE

IF...You are hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in customers' homes and businesses.

You can move fast without getting sloppy with labels, photos, packing, chain of custody, or property protection.

You use technology without drama and communicate problems early.

You can flex with field assignments, travel, and restoration schedules.

MUST-HAVESValid driver license and ability to satisfy company motor-vehicle and insurance requirements for work-related driving.

Ability to learn and consistently use mobile devices, inventory/project software, barcodes, labels, cameras, timekeeping, and moving/cleaning equipment.

Ability to follow safety procedures, written and verbal instructions, and detailed documentation requirements.

Ability to meet the schedule and travel requirements of a field restoration operation.

Ability to perform the essential physical functions, including lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds independently when required, with team lifts or approved equipment for heavier or awkward items, with reasonable accommodation as required by law.

NICE-TO-HAVESExperience in contents restoration, moving, warehousing, cleaning, hospitality, construction, logistics, or customer service.

IICRC or other relevant restoration training or certification.

Experience handling fragile, high-value, sentimental, or commercial property.

DO NOT APPLY

IF...You need to be chased to arrive on time, finish details, or communicate a problem.

You think labels, photos, counts, and job notes are someone else's paperwork.

You are careless with other people's belongings or get defensive when a mistake needs to be fixed.

You want a predictable desk job with fixed daily scenery and zero schedule flexibility.

SCHEDULE / TRAVEL

/ CONDITIONSNormally Monday through Friday, with start and end times that vary by assignment. Evening, weekend, overnight, overtime, emergency-response, and limited on-call work may be required. Work is generally within about a three-hour driving radius of Chesapeake, Virginia, but assignments can extend beyond that area and overnight travel may be required.

Work can take place in homes, businesses, warehouses, vehicles, loading areas, and active restoration sites affected by water, fire, smoke, soot, mold, odors, dust, or debris. PPE and site controls are required. You may stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, climb stairs or ladders, drive, and perform repetitive hand work.
