Schedule:
Monday through Friday and up to one weekend per month where Saturday will substitute for a weekday. Position Overview Testudo Logistics is seeking a highly qualified, multi-credentialed ATC / CSCS or USA Weightlifting certified candidate to support the Optimizing Human Weapon System program for fighter pilots of the Florida Air National Guard. The OHWS initiative is an evidence-based, multidisciplinary physical conditioning and musculoskeletal preservation program designed to meet the unique physical demands of tactical fighter aircrew. The successful candidate will operate on-site to design and execute individual training plans, injury-prevention regimens, and advanced physical recovery programs. The core objective is to mitigate the acute neck and back strain caused by high-G flight environments, directly enhancing the operational readiness, deployability, and career longevity of the unit's rated pilots. Required Qualifications & Certifications Active BOC credential Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification OR a USA Weightlifting (USAW) coaching certification. Athletic Trainer license from any U.S. state. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR/AED) certification.
Experience:
Documented +1 year professional experience training, conditioning, or rehabilitating collegiate, professional, or tactical (military, aviation, or first responder) athletic populations. Dry needling and other soft tissue modalities highly preferred
Key Responsibilities Assessments & Care Plans:
Conduct comprehensive baseline musculoskeletal, postural, and physical capacity evaluations for fighter aircrew. Author goal-oriented, individual Formal Care Plans utilizing the program's approved menu of physical strategies.
Pre-Habilitative Conditioning:
Implement targeted multi-planar strength, spinal stability, core conditioning, and neural readiness training utilizing unit physical fitness facilities and Government-Furnished Equipment (GFE).
Injury Prevention & Manual Therapy:
Utilize evidence-based soft-tissue manipulation, deep tissue techniques, and physical recovery protocols to counter the physical compression driven by flight gear and high-G maneuvers.
