Position Introduction:
We are seeking a dedicated and safety-focused Flight Instructor to deliver high-quality aviation training to university students. This role is responsible for administering FAA-approved flight and ground instruction in accordance with established syllabi, while ensuring students meet all regulatory and performance standards. The Flight Instructor will conduct stage checks and check rides in compliance with FAA guidelines, as well as administer required ground tests and provide ground school instruction as needed. In addition to instructional duties, the Flight Instructor plays a key role in coordinating and scheduling training activities, supporting daily flight operations through dispatch functions, and operating faculty/staff transportation flights (FAST flights). This position also contributes to the advancement of the aviation program by assisting with recruitment and promotional efforts, developing new courses and training materials, and supporting basic preventive maintenance of the university's aircraft fleet.
Required Education:
High School diploma or GED OR an equivalent combination of education/job related experience.
Required Certifications and Licenses:
FAA Certified Flight Instructor License Must have and maintain FAA Class II medical Valid driver's license
Skills:
Ability to work with flight students one-on-one and in a classroom setting.
