Updated 07/2026 Job Description Job Summary Helius LLC is currently accepting resumes for a Bell 407 Utility Patrol and External Load Pilots in support of our powerline operations in Central and Northern CA. Helius, LLC operates a fleet of Bell 407 helicopters performing power line utility construction, maintenance, and patrol under 14 CFR 133, 135, and 137. Helius LLC takes pride in employing the most talented team in the industry, with our primary focus being the safety of our pilots, crew, passengers, and customers. Helius LLC pilots enjoy full housing on hitch (no hotel living) with full kitchen, cooking amenities, and their own assigned room. Company vehicles are provided for their convenience. Primary Work Location:
Oakdale, CA. Ability to reliably commute (travel stipend offered) or plan to relocate Work rotation: 14/14 or 21/21 depending on contract/staffing requirements
Compensation:
Yearly salary commensurate with experience + daily rate Applicants must meet the following MINIMUM requirements to be considered: FAA Commercial Rotorcraft Helicopter w/Instrument Rating or FAA ATP Rotorcraft Helicopter FAA Second Class Medical Total Helicopter PIC = 2500hrs Precision External Load = 100hrs Cross County = 100hrs Night Cross Country =25hrs Previous FAR 135 Experience Previous Experience in Wire Environment PG&E Wire Experience Highly Preferred Must have experience (at least 50hrs) in
AT LEAST 1
of the following airframes: Bell 407 Bell 206 L No accidents/incidents/violations/FAA enforcements Must have good organization and communication skills Must be a self starter and be able to work independently Please do not apply if you do not meet the minimum requirements. Part 133 External Load Pilots applicants must meet the following MINIMUM requirements to be considered: FAA Commercial Rotorcraft Helicopter w/Instrument Rating or FAA ATP Rotorcraft Helicopter FAA Second Class Medical Total Helicopter PIC = 2500hrs Turbine = 500hrs Cross County = 100hrs Night Cross Country = 25hrs Class B External Load = 50hrs Precision Class B External Load = 25hrs Must have experience (at least 50hrs) in
AT LEAST 1
