Job Description
The Simulator Technicians report directly to the Lead Simulator Technician and are responsible for conducting technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to F-35 Pilot Training Devices in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Troubleshoots technical problems and issues with the training devices. Determines technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications. Recommend actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solution. Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications. Conducts technical training and product briefing with customers, vendors and company representatives. Readies training devices for customer use and assists with mission specific preparations. Acts as local on-site representative to customer's organization. Maintain DoD 8570 Level IAT-II certification. Document all unusual operational/maintenance problems to support identifying failure trends. Work with and communicate well both orally and written in a team environment as this position involves significant interface with customer personnel at all levels Must be a self-starter and have the ability to establish and maintain a library of technical documentation. Manage and track multiple engineering and logistic support activities, providing periodic status to the customer and program management team. REQUIRED
Appropriate degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment. Technical Report writing. Experience with drawing/schematics reading and interpretation Fault Isolation and problem analysis experience at the sub-system level Military fighter aircraft experience Knowledge of CATIA & System/Software Engineering Environment (S/SEE) Previous Field Service FSE/REP experience. Supervisory Responsibilities None Security Responsibilities This position is located at a facility that will require special access clearance. Must have an active secret clearance with a completed investigation within the last 6 years Must be able to attain and maintain F-35 Special Access Program (SAP) access. Must be a US citizen Candidates must have a final/transferable DoD Secret security clearance. Must comply with all company Information Systems security policies and procedures. Language Skills Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret the complex word and technical documents/diagrams. Must be able to effectively communicate orally and in writing and work effectively as part of a team. Reasoning Ability and Mathematical Skills Must be able to analyze problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. An ability to interpret complex customer requirements and attitudes from verbal, non-verbal, and written communication is desirable. Must be able to calculate figures and numbers, and percentages and be able to draw and interpret graphs. Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and drawings. Must be able to perform Domestic and International travel as required. Shop floor environment. Will be working in areas with risk of injury from electrical applications, moving mechanical parts, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems under pressure and electrical motion systems.
