POSITION SUMMARY
Sky Travel Solutions is seeking an experienced, professional, and safety-focused Pilot in Command (PIC) - 560XL to support its Part 135 charter operation. The Pilot in Command is responsible for the safe, compliant, and professional operation of assigned flights aboard the Citation 560XL. The PIC exercises command authority for the aircraft and crew while ensuring each flight is conducted in accordance with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, company manuals and procedures, Operations Specifications, aircraft limitations, and company safety standards. This position requires strong aeronautical decision-making, leadership, communication, and customer-service skills. The PIC works closely with the First Officer, Flight Operations, Maintenance, and other company personnel to provide safe, reliable, and professional charter service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Flight Operations & Command Serve as Pilot in Command of the Citation 560XL during assigned Part 135 and company operations. Exercise final authority and responsibility for the safe operation of assigned flights. Conduct flights in accordance with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, company manuals, Operations Specifications, aircraft limitations, and established operating procedures. Evaluate weather, airport conditions, aircraft performance, fuel requirements, NOTAMs, and other factors affecting each flight. Make sound go/no-go, diversion, delay, and other operational decisions with safety as the primary consideration. Ensure required preflight, flight, and post-flight duties are completed accurately and thoroughly. Maintain situational awareness throughout all phases of flight and respond appropriately to changing operational conditions. Crew Leadership & Coordination Provide leadership and direction to the First Officer and other assigned crewmembers. Promote effective Crew Resource Management and professional cockpit communication. Conduct appropriate crew briefings and ensure responsibilities are clearly understood. Foster an environment in which safety concerns can be raised and addressed without hesitation. Coordinate effectively with Flight Operations regarding schedules, trip requirements, delays, and operational changes. Work collaboratively with Maintenance regarding aircraft discrepancies and maintenance status. Safety & Regulatory Compliance Maintain all FAA certificates, ratings, medical qualifications, training, checking, currency, and other requirements necessary to serve as PIC in the company's Part 135 operation. Successfully complete company-required initial, recurrent, differences, and other applicable training and checking. Comply with applicable flight-time, duty-time, and rest requirements. Comply with applicable TSA security requirements and the company's TSA security program, including required aircraft security checks and passenger and baggage security procedures. Follow company Safety Management System policies and participate in safety reporting and initiatives as required. Immediately report safety concerns, aircraft discrepancies, incidents, or regulatory issues through appropriate company channels. Ensure schedule or customer pressures never take priority over safe and compliant flight operations. For passenger-carrying Part 135 operations using a turbojet airplane, FAA requirements under §135.243 require the PIC to hold an Airline Transport Pilot certificate, and the appropriate type rating is required when applicable. Aircraft & Maintenance Responsibilities Conduct thorough aircraft preflight and post-flight inspections in accordance with company procedures. Review aircraft maintenance status and confirm the aircraft is acceptable for the intended flight. Accurately document and communicate aircraft discrepancies to Maintenance. Coordinate with Maintenance and Flight Operations regarding aircraft status and maintenance-related operational impacts. Ensure required aircraft documents, checklists, and operational materials are available and current. Maintain a professional and orderly cockpit and aircraft environment. Passenger Service & Professionalism Provide a safe, professional, and high-quality experience for charter passengers. Represent Sky Travel professionally during all interactions with passengers, customers, FBO personnel, vendors, and other aviation professionals. Coordinate with the crew and appropriate personnel regarding passenger needs and trip requirements. Maintain discretion and confidentiality regarding passengers, destinations, itineraries, and company information. Assist in ensuring the aircraft is appropriately prepared and presented for passenger service. Handle operational disruptions professionally while maintaining clear communication with appropriate company personnel. Trip & Operational Coordination Review assigned trip details and coordinate with Flight Operations before departure. Verify airports, routing, fuel requirements, weather, aircraft performance, and other relevant operational information. Coordinate with FBOs, ground handlers, and other service providers when required. Complete required flight and company documentation accurately and promptly. Communicate significant schedule changes, delays, diversions, maintenance concerns, or other operational developments to Flight Operations. Support domestic and international operations as assigned and appropriately qualified.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate with appropriate airplane category and class ratings. Appropriate FAA type rating for the Citation 560XL as required for assigned PIC operations. Current FAA medical certificate appropriate for the privileges exercised. Minimum of 3,000 hours total flight time. Meet all applicable FAA requirements to serve as Pilot in Command in Part 135 passenger-carrying turbojet operations. Meet applicable company training, checking, qualification, and currency requirements. Strong knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations applicable to Part 135 charter operations. Knowledge of applicable TSA security requirements for Part 135 charter operations and the company's TSA security program procedures. Strong aeronautical decision-making and Crew Resource Management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Professional demeanor and strong customer-service orientation. Ability to work effectively with First Officers, Flight Operations, Maintenance, passengers, vendors, and company leadership. Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule based on charter operational requirements. The FAA notes that pilots engaged in air transportation must hold the appropriate commercial or airline transport pilot credentials and operate flights in accordance with the requirements applicable to the operation being conducted. Preferred Previous Part 135 charter experience. Previous experience operating Citation 560XL-series aircraft. Previous experience serving as PIC in business aviation or private charter operations. International flight experience. Strong knowledge of business aviation and high-level passenger service. Experience operating in a fast-paced, on-demand charter environment. Company-Specific Flight-Time Minimums Minimum total time requirement is 3,000 hours. Minimum PIC time, turbine time, multi-engine time, and 560XL/type-specific experience will be established by Sky Travel based on company, insurance, and operational requirements.

SCHEDULE & WORK ENVIRONMENT
Full-time flight position supporting Sky Travel's Part 135 charter operation. Rotational schedule of 8 days on and 6 days off. Duty days within each rotation will vary based on aircraft and charter requirements and may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, overnight trips, and multi-day assignments. Must be able to report for assigned duty in accordance with company scheduling requirements. Domestic and international travel may be required. Pilots must be based in the Orlando, FL area. Position involves regular work aboard aircraft and at airports, FBOs, ramps, and other aviation facilities. Must maintain all applicable FAA and company fitness-for-duty, training, currency, and qualification requirements.
