$20.00 per hour starting (based on experience) About Us Heartway Living Solutions is an Independent Living Services (ILS) provider vendored through Valley Mountain Regional Center (VMRC). We support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in building the skills and confidence to live as independently as possible. We take a person-centered, respectful approach to everything we do, and we're looking for instructors who share that same heart. Position Summary As an ILS Instructor, you'll work one-on-one with clients in their homes and communities, teaching everyday living skills that support greater independence. You'll follow each client's individualized goals, meet them where they are, and help them grow at their own pace. Responsibilities Provide one-on-one instruction in independent living skills, including money management and budgeting, meal planning and cooking, household management, personal care and hygiene, health and medication management, transportation and mobility training, community access, safety, and self-advocacy Follow each client's Individual Program Plan (IPP) and support progress toward their personal goals Complete accurate, timely service notes after each session Track and report client progress to the Program Director Maintain professional boundaries and a warm, respectful, person-centered approach Communicate as needed with families and regional center service coordinators Required Qualifications 18 years or older High school diploma or GED Valid California driver's license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance Ability to pass a DOJ/FBI background clearance (Live Scan) Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently in the field Strong communication and interpersonal skills Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities (I/DD) Familiarity with Regional Center services and Title 17 requirements Current CPR and First Aid certification Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply Schedule Part-time with flexible daytime hours based on client needs.
