Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
NOTE:
Listed as "Remote" due to system limitations. The role is field-based/in-person , not work-from-home. This is an entry level position under the direct supervision of program management to provide transportation for children in the Community Based Care (CBC) program and to assist the case management team. In addition to the duties and requirements listed below, YFA expects employees to be committed to incorporating principles of trauma-informed care in all areas of service delivery. Commitment to these principles is demonstrated through active participation in agency-required training, use of trauma-informed practices, and understanding that trauma-informed environments require cultural sensitivity and an emphasis on a safe and respectful environment for all.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Provide transportation for children in the CBC program. Assist the case management team with support services. Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Be patient, and able to communicate well with children and parents. Be open-minded, culturally sensitive, and maintain a positive attitude. Stay organized, observant, and manage time efficiently. Hold a valid Florida driver's license with at least four (4) years driving experience, pass Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) check with no moving violations, and be able to maintain personal vehicle liability insurance. Use personal vehicle when required. Handle group dynamics effectively. Arrive on time and ready to work. Follow EEO compliance and respect workplace dignity. Work well in a team and take direction from supervisors. Uphold FYA core values and mission. Supervise children during transport and visitations. Maintain and submit vehicle paperwork on time. Coordinate on-call transport as needed. Ensure car seat safety and provide training when necessary. Build positive relationships with children and families. Complete service documentation promptly. Attend meetings and sessions as directed. Trained and authorized to access protected health information. Maintain client confidentiality and follow ethical practices. Use Microsoft Office, including Outlook Calendar. Practice safe driving and avoid traffic violations. Complete required training on time. Perform other tasks as needed to ensure client services.
REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience:
High School diploma/GED required. Associate Degree preferred. Experience in Human Services or childcare preferred. Minimum Four years of driving history. Clean driving record with no moving violations Willing to submit to and pass a Level II Background Screening and Drug Urinalysis.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to safely drive youth passengers Ability to maintain sitting position for at least 1/2 of business day Ability to occasionally move/lift up to 25 pounds
