In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely transporting students, staff, and other authorized personnel using specialized vehicles designed for student transit. Duties Safely operate shuttle buses, school buses, or paratransit vehicles to transport students and staff within designated routes and schedules Assist students with boarding and exiting vehicles, ensuring proper safety procedures are followed Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance Communicate effectively with students, parents, school staff, and dispatchers to coordinate pickups, drop-offs, and route adjustments Handle heavy lifting when necessary for loading or unloading equipment or supplies Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, and passenger counts in accordance with company policies Respond promptly to any safety concerns or emergencies during transit, following established protocols Experience Previous shuttle driving or delivery driver experience preferred; familiarity with bus driving or commercial driving is a plus Experience in customer service roles demonstrating strong communication skills and professionalism Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics and safety regulations related to heavy vehicles such as buses or limousines Ability to perform heavy lifting when required and handle physical tasks associated with vehicle operation Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., driver license, commercial driver's license) with a clean driving record Experience in school bus driving or paratransit services is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided if needed Join us as a Specialized Student Driver and become a key part of our mission to provide safe, reliable transportation that supports educational communities.
