In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely transporting patients to and from medical appointments, hospitals, and care facilities. Your energetic approach and excellent communication skills will ensure a smooth, comfortable experience for every passenger. This paid position offers an engaging environment where safety, customer service, and reliability are at the forefront of everything you do. Responsibilities Safely operate various types of vehicles including shuttle buses, limousines, and paratransit vans to transport patients efficiently and comfortably. Assist patients with boarding and disembarking, providing support as needed to ensure their safety and dignity. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform basic maintenance checks to ensure optimal operation and safety standards are met. Maintain clear communication with dispatchers, healthcare staff, and passengers to coordinate schedules and address any concerns promptly. Handle heavy lifting when assisting patients or moving mobility equipment, ensuring proper safety procedures are followed. Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during transportation routes. Keep accurate logs of trips, mileage, and vehicle condition reports to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Experience Previous experience in shuttle driving, delivery driving, bus driving, or limousine services is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability in commercial driving or school bus driving with a valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations. Experience in paratransit services or other specialized transportation roles is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle maintenance tasks related to vehicle upkeep. Knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and basic vehicle maintenance procedures. Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and provide exceptional passenger care.
