Job Description

Wanted:
drivers to transport children to and from school We have routes available during the following hours (start and end times vary.) Monday-Friday 6:30AM

AM 2:30PM-4:00PM Ohio areas covered: Cleveland
  • Strongsville, Brunswick Columbus
  • East side, West side, Gahanna, Canal Winchester, Downtown Dayton
  • citywide Cincinnati
  • Hamilton, Fairfield, downtown Driver requirements— CDL not required.
Clean driving record preferred. No more than 6 points in the last 2 years. No more than 2 serious traffic violations in last 2 years. Must be over 21, minimum of 2 years' driving experience. Must pass criminal background check and drug test. Vehicle requirements— Must have reliable car. Must have insurance or other proof of financial responsibility covering the vehicle. Vehicle no older than 10 years. Vehicle must be inspected every 6 months. Pay— Weekly. Our goal is for you to make $400

In this exciting role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of students to and from school and various activities. Your driving expertise and commitment to customer service will create a positive experience for students, parents, and school staff alike. If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of young learners while enjoying the open road, this is the perfect opportunity for you! Responsibilities Safely operate various vehicles including school buses, shuttles, and limousines while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with students, parents, and school personnel regarding transportation schedules and any changes. Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in safe operating condition; perform routine maintenance as needed. Assist students with boarding and disembarking from vehicles, ensuring their safety at all times. Manage paratransit services for students with special needs, providing additional support as required. Maintain accurate records of daily routes, student attendance, and any incidents that may occur during transportation. Collaborate with school administration to address transportation issues or concerns promptly. Engage in ongoing training to enhance driving skills and stay updated on best practices in student transportation. Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for school bus driving or equivalent experience. Proven experience in shuttle driving or delivery driving; familiarity with limousine services is a plus. Strong communication skills to interact positively with students, parents, and staff members. Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting students or handling equipment related to transportation services. Previous experience in paratransit or special needs transportation is highly desirable. A commitment to safety and maintaining a clean driving record free from major violations.
