Transportation Driver

Duties Safely operate school buses to transport passengers or cargo efficiently. Provide exceptional customer service by assisting passengers with boarding, buckling children's seat belts, and addressing inquiries in a friendly manner. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety standards are met and report any issues promptly. Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols during every trip to guarantee secure transportation. Assist with heavy lifting when loading or unloading cargo or luggage to ensure proper handling and safety. Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle condition for record-keeping purposes. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members using radios or other communication devices to coordinate routes and schedules. Experience Proven experience as a delivery driver, shuttle driver, bus driver, or in a similar transportation role. Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., commercial driver's license if required). Strong communication skills to interact professionally with passengers and team members. Knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and best practices for commercial driving. Experience driving different types of vehicles such as school buses, or paratransit vehicles is highly desirable. Ability to remain alert during short shifts and manage multiple routes efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service.
