Zip Ride Driver Nashville, TN Job Details Contract $25 an hour 12 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Working with individuals with disabilities Customer service Adhering to traffic regulations Driver's License Transportation safety regulations Cleaning Passenger pickup and drop-off Communication skills Safety protocol implementation Passenger safety Entry level Full Job Description Position Overview A Zip Ride Driver provides safe, reliable, and respectful transportation services to individuals with diverse needs, including individuals with disabilities, elderly passengers, and school-aged children. Drivers serve as the frontline representatives of Zip Ride and are expected to demonstrate professionalism, punctuality, and a strong commitment to customer care. This position operates as an independent contractor (1099). Drivers have the flexibility to accept or decline trip referrals based on availability. Key Responsibilities Safely transport passengers to and from designated locations in a timely manner Assist passengers with diverse mobility and communication needs Provide door-to-door or curb-to-curb service as required Maintain a clean, safe, and well-functioning vehicle Follow all traffic laws and Zip Ride safety protocols Confirm trip details prior to pickup Maintain professional communication with dispatch and clients Document completed trips accurately Immediately report incidents, delays, or concerns Protect client confidentiality at all times Customer Service Expectations Treat all passengers with dignity and respect Maintain a calm, patient, and professional demeanor Dress in clean, presentable attire appropriate for professional service Represent Zip Ride with integrity and reliability Obtain customer feedback when requested Vehicle & Equipment Requirements 4-door sedan or SUV in good mechanical condition Current vehicle registration Valid auto insurance meeting state requirements Clean and safe interior Working seatbelts for all passengers Smartphone capable of using the Zip Ride platform Qualifications Valid driver's license Clean driving record Ability to pass background screening Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred Strong communication skills Reliable and punctual Ability to lift up to 25 pounds (as needed for light assistance) Compensation Paid per trip (rates provided at time of referral) Drivers may accept or decline trip opportunities Independent contractor (1099) status Physical & Working Conditions Extended periods of sitting Assisting passengers in and out of vehicles Exposure to varying weather conditions Driving in city and rural environments Disclaimer Zip Ride reserves the right to modify trip procedures, safety expectations, and operational requirements as needed.
