Supervised Visitation Specialist:
Basic Duties:

Provide direct supervision of children while they visit with the parent or authorized individual. Work collaboratively with corresponding state agencies and the general public at large. Communicate with families of diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds.

Specific Duties:

Must be willing to Travel and work evenings. Provide transportation for parent-child visits. Provide transportation for unsupervised visits. Provide direct supervision during the parent-child visits. Provide monitored visits-indirect supervision, periodic observation as indicated by

FIN/DCYF

referral form. Complete and submit the observation form and any other required documentation for each visit and submit all required reports. Assure that the proper car seat is utilized for the age of the child and make good decisions that ensure the safety of the child and all parties involved. Utilize good judgment while making decisions during the parent-child visitation. As a GMC Visitation Supervisor, you must look presentable and act professional at all times with GMC Staff, DCYF Staff, Parents, Children and all parties involved. Responsible for notifying GMC FS Coordinator of all matters of importance immediately. Must maintain a valid CPR/First Aid card, a valid bloodborne pathogens card, must have valid car insurance, and provide GMC FS with copies.

Requirements:

Must be 21 years or older Must have Driver's License Must pass a state background check Must have car insurance Must have a High School Diploma or GED Must provide a recent driving abstract Must have 2 years of working or volunteer work with children and it must be on your resume with specific dates.
