We are currently seeking Train Conductors in Noyes, MN. No previous railway experience is required. Preference will be given to candidates with outdoor work experience and various industrial backgrounds, as they have demonstrated exceptional performance in this role. Noyes is a border crossing location you must have a valid US passport (or be able to obtain one) and be able to cross the border into Canada for work purposes to be considered. What's in it for you?

Key Responsibilities:
Work rotating shifts without advance scheduling on a 2-hour call window, covering days, evenings, and nights, in a 24/7 operating environment Engage in rigorous outdoor work tasks Operate and communicate by radio with control towers, remote teams, and dispatching centers Handle and work with locomotives, train cars, air hoses, braking systems, and switches Lift and pull heavy objects (up to 50 pounds on occasion) Walk up to 6 miles per shift on uneven ground and in varying weather conditions Maintain a strong focus on safety, ensuring the well-being of self, team, and the public
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Must pass medical and substance testing including marijuana, have a valid driver's license and a high school diploma Experience with outdoor work, exposed to the elements for 70% of the shift Previous shiftwork experience, including on-call assignments Strong determination and drive to start from the ground up and quickly build seniority Familiarity with heavy equipment and industrial environments Physical strength to lift up to 50 lbs. throughout the shift Commitment to safety and willingness to implement safety feedback Any railway or rail car loading experience is considered an asset
Training:
CPKC provides 15 weeks of paid in-class and field training. Providing you with a solid understanding of our safety practices, rules and operations. You will earn $261.72 per day in classroom training and $42.90 per hour in on-the-job training. In the event of any discrepancy between the listed rates and the provisions of the labor agreement, the terms and conditions outlined in the labor agreement shall govern.

  • Valid US passport or an Enhanced Driver's License for travel into Canada
  • Valid driving license
  • Mechanical knowledge is a plus
