Seasonal, Part-Time About Us:
The Craftsbury Outdoor Center (COC) is a community-focused athletic training facility and outdoor destination located on a lakeside campus in Craftsbury, Vermont. Your familiarity with and admiration for working and playing in a small and rural community will help the COC achieve ourMission:
To support and promote participation and excellence in lifelong sports with a special focus on Rowing, Cross Country Skiing, Biathlon, Mountain Biking, and Running. To use and teach sustainable practices. To protect and manage the surrounding land, lake and trails.Position Summary:

Part-time, Seasonal.Season:
Approximately mid-October 2026 to March 31, 2027 (weather dependent).Location:
The trail network in Greensboro (primarily). Equipment housed at Highland Lodge.Schedule:
Ideally - Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday Weather and trail conditions dependent. There is room for and will require flexibility. Shift - 6:00 am start time. Routes typically take between 4 and 6 hours to complete.Pay:
$20 to $22 Hourly. Additional $2 per hour shift differential for Saturday and/or Sunday shifts.Major Duties & Responsibilities May Include:
Fall trail preparation: last mow, brush-hogging, tree limbing, fallen tree removal, bridge maintenance. Operation of snow machines and/or UTV with heated cab and 8' drag. Maintain network of trails to COC safety and quality standards. Report any equipment, trail, safety, and landowner concerns to fellow team members. Independent action-taker to work without supervision after introductory/training period.Qualifications:
At least 18 years old with reliable transportation to and from work. Work outdoors in cold and variable conditions for extended periods required. Prior snow grooming experience required. Nordic ski (cross country) experience is strongly preferred. Excellent communication skills. Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting are a plus but not required. Self-motivated and comfortable working independently.Benefits:
