Launch Driver (We are looking for multiple drivers!)

Waterfront Manager Job Summary:
We are looking for multiple drivers, if you have your launch license, this can be the perfect position for a college student for the summer break and we have positions which would run mid April until November 1. The Launch Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently operating the yacht club's launch vessels to transport members and guests to and from their boats. This position requires strong boating skills, excellent customer service, and a commitment to safety.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Vessel Operation:
Safely operate the club's launch vessels in various weather conditions. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vessel, including checking fuel levels, engine oil, and safety equipment. Maintain a clean and orderly launch vessel.
Member and Guest Transportation:
Transport members and guests to and from their boats in a timely and courteous manner. Assist members and guests with boarding and disembarking the launch. Provide information about the club's facilities and services.
Dockside Assistance:
Assist with docking and undocking boats as needed. Monitor the dock area for safety hazards and take corrective action.
Maintenance and Cleaning:
Perform routine maintenance tasks on the launch vessel, including cleaning, fueling, and minor repairs. Assist with general dock and marina maintenance as needed.
Safety:
Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures. Report any safety concerns or incidents to the Marina Manager. Maintain a valid boating license and first aid certification.
Qualifications:
Valid Launch driver's license. Proven experience in boat operation and navigation. Strong understanding of marine safety regulations. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
Working Conditions:
Outdoor work in various weather conditions. Exposure to water and marine environments. Irregular work hours, including weekends and potential holidays. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be subject to change at the discretion of the yacht club.
Rate of Pay:
Commiserate with experience and having a launch license up to $24 per hour
License:
US Coast Guard Launch License (Required - Training/Certification may be available to otherwise qualified candidates)
