Job DescriptionThe Deckhand will maintain the cleanliness of the vessel by sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing the deck. Perform general seasonal maintenance on the vessel such as sanding and painting to keep it seaworthy. Participate in passenger safety drills and assist in emergency situations.
The Deckhand will maintain the cleanliness of the vessel on the outside by sweeping, mopping and scrubbing the deck to keep it clean and orderly.
Able to operate the fire hose, winch and davit. Also knowledge and practice of safety procedures in each situation.
The Deckhand will communicate and provide the highest degree of customer service to customers.
Participate in passenger safety drills and actual emergency situations.
The Deckhand will perform general seasonal maintenance of the vessel such as sanding and painting to keep it seaworthy.
Throw and pull lines, use capstan and kevels to tie up the vessel.
QualificationsMust be at least 18 years of age.
Six (6) months of experience in the same or similar position preferred.
Must be able to stand and/or walk for duration of shift.
Must be able to reach, grasp, bend, stoop, crouch, and kneel.
Must be able to operate a fire hose, winch, and davit.
Must be able to throw and pull lines and use capstan and kevels to tie off the vessel.
Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.
