Job Description

JOB Assistant on St. Mary's County passenger vessel; performs other duties as assigned.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Communicate with guests and answer questions in a professional and friendly manner; Assist with regular boat upkeep and maintenance; Prepare/clean boat before every operation day; Responsible for the location and safe keeping of all documents pertaining to the operation of the tour vessel.; Reports to the boat Captain problems, concerns, and maintenance requests; Handles lines, assists with loading, unloading, and docking; Take over as captain in event of emergencies (on-going training will be provided) Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
High school diploma or G.E.D; One year or more of related experience; Or equivalent technical training, education, and/or experience.
Additional Requirements:
Must successfully pass background investigation with favorable results; Must pass a pre-employment drug test and random routine tests thereafter; CPR Certification;
Physical and Environmental Conditions:
Work requires constant physical effort including some lifting or handling of heavy tools or materials of 50 pounds or more. The work environment involves high risks with exposure to potentially dangerous situations or unusual environmental stress which require a range of safety and other precautions ,e.g., extreme outdoor weather conditions, or similar situations where conditions cannot be controlled.
