Job Description

Overview Join our vibrant team as a Gas Dock Attendant/Boat Rental Prepper, where your enthusiasm and attention to detail will keep our waterfront operations running smoothly and safely. In this dynamic role, you'll be the friendly face welcoming boaters, ensuring fuel is dispensed accurately, and preparing rental boats for exciting adventures on the water. Your proactive approach will help create memorable experiences for our guests while maintaining a safe and efficient environment. This paid position offers an engaging opportunity to develop practical skills in marine operations, customer service, and mechanical maintenance. Duties Safely dispense fuel to boats at the gas dock, following all safety protocols and environmental regulations Assist customers with boat rentals, providing instructions on operation and safety procedures Prepare rental boats by inspecting, cleaning, and performing basic mechanical checks to ensure seaworthiness Rig boats with appropriate equipment such as life jackets, anchors, and safety gear before rentals Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dock area, fueling station, and rental fleet Conduct routine inspections of boats for damages or maintenance needs and report issues promptly Follow safety guidelines during all operations to prevent accidents or spills and respond effectively in emergency situations Skills Basic mechanical knowledge to assist with boat maintenance and troubleshooting minor issues Have or be willing to obtain a NC/VA Boaters License Ability to rig boats efficiently with necessary equipment for safe operation Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor Attention to detail for accurate fueling procedures and thorough boat inspections Physical stamina to stand, lift, and move equipment or boats throughout shifts Knowledge of safety protocols related to fueling operations and watercraft handling Willingness to learn about marine safety standards and environmental regulations This role is perfect for energetic individuals eager to work outdoors in a lively waterfront environment.
