Your work directly impacts environmental health by removing surface pollutants and debris, ensuring that our waterways remain clean, safe, and navigable for the community. Responsibilities Navigate and maneuver skimming vessels to efficiently extract floating debris and environmental contaminants from water surfaces. Conduct proactive maintenance and mechanical inspections on skimming hardware to maximize operational uptime. Monitor aquatic conditions and provide detailed reports on environmental hazards to ensure rapid response. Execute daily operational logs and data collection to track debris removal metrics and project progress. Collaborate with field teams to refine skimming tactics and improve overall cleanup efficiency. Uphold rigorous maritime safety standards and environmental compliance protocols during all field activities. Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior crew members regarding vessel operation and safety procedures. Qualifications Required Skills High school diploma or equivalent educational background. Demonstrated experience in operating motorized watercraft or marine industrial equipment. Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform duties in diverse weather and maritime environments. Proven capability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and solve problems independently while on the water. Preferred Skills Active boating license or relevant maritime certification. Prior experience with waterway management or environmental cleanup operations. Familiarity with local navigation charts and regional waterway regulations.
