COMPANY, doing business as Rodriguez Boats. Work will be performed in Calhoun County, Texas. Employees will generally work 7 hours per day during daytime hours, Monday through Friday (35 hours per week). Daily starting and ending times may vary based on weather conditions, tides, oyster harvesting schedules, and operational requirements. The offered wage is $17.91 per hour, paid weekly. The employer will make all deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law. A single workweek will be used to calculate wages. No overtime hours are available. Workers will assist in all aspects of commercial oyster harvesting operations, including preparing vessels and equipment for daily use; operating oyster dredges, nets, and harvesting equipment; collecting, sorting, cleaning, tagging, bagging, stacking, storing, and unloading oysters; returning undersized oysters to the water; cleaning boats, decks, and equipment after each trip; performing routine maintenance; assisting the captain and crew; and completing other related duties as assigned. Work is performed outdoors under varying weather and marine conditions and requires frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds. Applicants must have one (1) month of related experience. No minimum education is required. On-the-job training will be provided when necessary. Employer may assist workers in obtaining housing and transportation and may provide housing and daily transportation when needed. All tools, equipment, supplies, and protective gear required to perform the job will be furnished by the employer at no cost to the worker. Employment is guaranteed for at least three-fourths (3/4) of the total workdays during each 12-week period of the contract. In accordance with applicable federal regulations, the employer will reimburse H-2B workers during the first workweek for visa fees, visa processing fees, border crossing fees, and other government-required costs associated with obtaining H-2B employment authorization. After a worker completes fifty percent (50%) of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse inbound transportation and daily subsistence expenses at a rate of at least $16.78 per day to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts, as required by applicable federal regulations. Upon completion of the work contract, or if the worker is dismissed early by the employer before the end of the contract period, the employer will provide or pay the reasonable cost of return transportation and daily subsistence at a rate of at least $16.78 per day to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts, as required by applicable federal regulations.
