Parts Delivery Driver

Overview Join our team as a Parts Delivery Driver and become a vital link between our warehouse and customers! The Parts Delivery Driver will be responsible for delivering parts / products to customers while operating company vehicles, in a professional, safe, and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will have automotive parts knowledge and delivery driver experience.

45-hour work week Hours of operation: Monday - Friday - 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Note:

Break and lunch periods will be scheduled by the supervisor based on workflow. Duties & Responsibilities Operate company vehicles to deliver products to customers' locations, following all driving laws and safety rules to designated routes efficiently. Provide exceptional customer service and a professional and positive delivery experience. Load and unload merchandise using equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), or manual lifting techniques. Verify orders prior to delivery and obtain signatures upon receipt from customers. Pick up customer returns and fill out driver return slip. Communicate any problems or needs from customers to management. Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met before each trip. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse and vehicle, preparing parts for delivery. Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or vehicle damage to manager immediately Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation, counting, and reporting discrepancies. Keep delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, hand-held devices, and monies collected, secure at all times. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Familiarity with automotive parts preferred. Prior delivery driver experiences preferred. Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences. Strong interpersonal communication skills. Knowledge of route driving best practices to optimize delivery times and fuel efficiency Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform heavy lifting in a safe manner. Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record. Must be able to pass a drug screening. Must reside in Fairbanks or surrounding area.

Pay:

$16.00 - $20.00 per hour
