Job Description
H.J. Oldenkamp, located in Athens, AL , is a wholesale distributor of interior building products (kitchen & bath countertops) serving the South-Central United States as well as the Midwest. As a Delivery Driver for the South region (AL, TN, MS, FL) you are responsible for many aspects of the warehouse and delivery processes. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Deliver countertops to customers Ensure that all truck loads are safely and securely fastened using guidelines set by the FMCSA. Report all traffic/legal violations (both personal and job related) to your supervisor Maintain a professional image to our customers through clean and proper uniforms and courteous service Warehouse duties include: Loading and unloading all third-party truck shipments Accurately check in merchandise shipments Put away received stock into its proper locations Assist in the handling of stone material Rotate merchandise with limited shelf-life Stage/pull orders for truck deliveries Requirements The ideal candidate must: Provide/Maintain a valid CDL B Driver's License and with Air Brake endorsement as well as possess a valid medical card Maintain a current understanding of all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) requirements and guidelines as well as adhere to the H.J. Oldenkamp Safe Driving Policy Have a minimum of three (3) years of previous CDL driving/delivery experience is required; driving out of state experience is also desirable Be able to work Monday - Friday; typically, 8am - 5pm Must be able to travel overnight one to two times per week across state lines Be able to lift up to 80 pounds on a regular basis Be a reliable, courteous, on-time and dedicated employee Have reliable transportation to and from work Be able to work in the US without sponsorship Benefits We offer: Medical benefits (health, dental and vision) 401k Paid Time Off Holiday Pay No weekends
