Job Description

Position Summary:
The Driver plays a crucial role in upholding Kolsten reputation for exceptional customer service and timely deliveries. The primary responsibility is the safe and efficient transportation of Kolsten products to customer locations or designated stops. The Driver will also assist with production and warehouse operations when delivery tasks are limited. This role serves as a critical extension of our customer service process and requires a proactive commitment to safety, punctuality, and operational excellence. Key Duties and Responsibilities Conduct daily safety inspections of the vehicle to ensure it meets operational and safety standards. Exercise vigilance about changing road conditions and always maintain situational awareness. Maintain a clean, organized workspace within the vehicle. Confirm that the products being transported match the accompanying paperwork. Ensure the truck is loaded securely; assist in loading operations as required. Deliver products and facilitate the unloading process at the destination. Maintain an accurate logbook in compliance with current Department of Transportation regulations. (where applicable) Confirm delivery routes with logistics prior to departure. Report any delivery irregularities or concerns to the shipping office immediately. Preserve the integrity and safety of the products during transit. Complete and verify all necessary paperwork, including delivery confirmations.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with warehouse duties, including inventory management and organization. Operate fabrication machines under the guidance of the Production Manager. Shape and assemble sheet metal using hand tools, power tools, and air-assisted tools/machines. Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards within the production environment. Other duties as assigned. Skills and Qualifications Strong team player with a proactive attitude. Highly organized and attention to detail. Must be at least 25 years of age. A valid driver's license and a good driving record. Reliable and punctual, with excellent attendance. Ability to adapt to a collaborative team environment. Adaptable and capable of performing multiple roles as needed. Basic understanding of machine operation and fabrication is a plus. Working Conditions This job may involve exposure to various environmental conditions such as weather changes, noise, heat, cold, and potentially hazardous materials. Physical requirements include sitting, squatting, bending at the waist, and gripping. Regularly lifting to 40lbs and occasionally lifting to 70lbs. Safety gear may be required for specific tasks.
