Commissary Delivery Driver and Operations Specialist Press Coffee - 3.5 Phoenix, AZ Job Details Part-time | Full-time $20 - $25 an hour 20 hours ago Benefits Paid training Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Paid sick time Qualifications Food production Food handling Driver's License Attention to detail Load & unload Full Job Description The Press Kitchen Delivery Driver and Operations Specialist is responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate transport of fresh, high‑quality food items from the Press Kitchen to all Press Coffee and Sip Coffee & Beer House locations. This role supports food safety, product quality, and daily production by preparing routes, loading orders, managing equipment and cold‑chain integrity, and assisting with kitchen operations as needed. It serves as a key link between the commissary kitchen and café teams, ensuring each store receives the correct products, in the correct quantities, and within required temperature and quality standards.
AVAILABILITY
: Currently part time , with evolution to full time.
  • This will evolve into a full-time position with delivery routes currently running two days per week (Wednesday and Saturday).
  • Routes and responsibilities, including prep, packing, inventory, and general support, will shift as commissary production evolves and operations expand.
  • The expected schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, with early ‑ morning shifts required.
Weekend and holiday availability may be required to accommodate delivery operations. Hours, routes, and responsibilities may shift as commissary production expands and operations continue to develop.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Review next‑day food delivery invoices and schedules at the end of each shift to plan and optimize delivery routes.
  • Identify and prioritize time‑sensitive deliveries and follow all handling and special instructions.
  • Load all required food products from the Press Kitchen and, when needed, from other production facilities each morning.
  • Verify that all items listed on the invoices are delivered and document any discrepancies on all copies.
  • FIFO all items into café grab‑and‑go cases and ensure café teams are informed of expired products for proper waste procedures.
  • Obtain delivery signatures from café team members, or document the reason when a signature cannot be obtained.
  • Place completed invoices in the Returned Invoices Box and notify the Director of Press Kitchen Operations of any issues.
  • Collect and organize food delivery bags and bins.
  • Maintain positive, professional relationships with café teams and assist with product issues and concerns to support speedy resolutions. Return the van to the van lot or Press Kitchen after completing routes, ensuring the cabin and cargo areas are cleaned, reset, and sanitized regularly so the vehicle is ready for the next set of deliveries.
  • Maintain and check the thermometer in the reefer van daily, ensuring the cargo area temperature remains below 40°F whenever the vehicle is in use.
  • Maintain a clean, organized Press Kitchen workspace—including loading docks, commissary kitchen prep areas, and cargo vans—by following daily and weekly cleaning procedures, receiving product, organizing storage, removing pallet wrap, breaking down boxes, and disposing of trash.
  • Assist in putting away incoming inventory such as boxes and bags between routes or when routes are not running.
  • Ensure all catering bags and bins are washed, sanitized, and ready for the team to pack.
QUALIFICATION
  • Preferred 21+ years of age with a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to obtain a food handlers card ○ Ability to follow food‑safety and handling standards.
  • Experience in delivery, food handling, or production environments preferred.
  • Comfortable working early mornings and managing a fast‑paced workload.
  • Strong attention to detail and reliability.

              PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
              • Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
              • Frequent bending, reaching, loading, and unloading of food items, sitting, and driving for an extended time.
              • Early morning work schedule with driving between multiple store locations.
              • Exposure to hot, cold, and refrigerated environments while loading and transporting food.
              • Work performed in kitchen, production, and warehouse settings with moderate noise levels.
              • Consistent use of safe practices while driving, loading, unloading, and handling equipment.
