Transportation Driver

50/hour BOE Arvin Post Acute is seeking a reliable and compassionate Transportation Driver to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring our residents are transported safely and comfortably to appointments and activities while maintaining a high standard of care and professionalism. Why Join Us? Essential Duties & Responsibilities Assist residents with loading and unloading from facility vehicles Transport residents safely to appointments, outings, and approved activities Utilize proper transfer techniques for ambulatory and wheelchair-bound residents Secure wheelchair residents safely in transport vehicles Maintain cleanliness and appearance of facility vehicles (interior and exterior) Monitor vehicle maintenance logs and coordinate routine servicing (oil changes, tire rotations, etc.) Remain flexible with scheduling if appointments or activities run late Communicate effectively with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team Maintain a positive and professional image in the community Follow all safety, infection control, and facility policies Perform other duties as assigned Supervisory Requirements This position has no supervisory responsibilities Qualifications Education & Experience High school diploma or GED required Must be at least 25 years old CNA certification required and maintained in good standing Experience in healthcare or transportation preferred Licenses & Requirements Valid California Driver's License Familiarity with GPS and local driving area Clean driving record: No traffic felonies No DUI, reckless driving, or major violations within the last 7 years No more than 2 moving violations in 3 years No more than 1 accident in 3 years Must pass drug screening and background check Skills & Abilities Ability to safely transfer and transport residents (including wheelchair-bound residents) Ability to lift, transfer, and mobilize residents up to 70 lbs in confined spaces Strong decision-making skills when working with a dependent resident population Effective communication and customer service skills Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office preferred) Physical Demands Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting Ability to lift/move up to 75 lbs Ability to assist residents with transfers and mobility Regular use of vehicle equipment and safety devices Work Environment Skilled nursing facility and community settings Driving in various weather and traffic conditions Low to moderate noise levels Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Statement Arvin Post Acute is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
