Responsibilities Safely operate various commercial vehicles, including trucks and vans, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely arrivals at each destination. Load and unload merchandise with proper heavy lifting techniques, ensuring product safety and integrity. Communicate professionally with clients upon delivery, building strong customer relationships through friendly service. Manage delivery documentation accurately, including receipts, invoices, and route logs. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction and sales goals. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine inspections to ensure optimal operation and safety compliance. Qualifications Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) or equivalent with a clean driving record. Proven experience in commercial truck driving or delivery services, preferably within retail or wholesale environments. Strong knowledge of route driving, traffic laws, and DOT regulations. Basic math skills for handling pricing calculations, measurements, and inventory counts. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team coordination. Ability to lift heavy packages safely while following proper lifting practices. Experience in merchandising or retail store environments is a plus.
