The next you're headed to Palm Springs with a truck full of sofas, bars, cabanas, rugs, and décor that needs to be unloaded, installed, and looking perfect before guests arrive. Then, when the party's over? We come back and do it all in reverse. Folklore is looking for dependable, hardworking Delivery Drivers & Event Installers to join our crew during our busiest event season. This role is part driver, part installer, part problem-solver, and part behind-the-scenes event magic. We're not your standard rental company. Our trucks are filled with custom bars, sofas, lounge furniture, cabanas, statement chairs, rugs, tables, lighting, umbrellas, and all the pieces that transform an empty space into an unforgettable event. Our Delivery Crew makes sure it all gets there safely, on time, and looking damn good when it arrives. What You'll Actually Be Doing You'll hit the road in our 16'-26' box trucks and help bring events to life throughout Southern California.
Your day could include:
Safely operating 16'-26' box trucks throughout San Diego County, Orange County, Palm Springs, Los Angeles County, and surrounding areas Loading and unloading furniture, décor, and other event rental inventory Setting up, assembling, and breaking down cabanas, bars, tables, sofas, chairs, and other event pieces Placing inventory according to event plans and client direction Working with your crew to safely move larger and heavier pieces Walking through rental placement with clients, planners, or venue contacts Counting inventory before leaving a venue and making sure everything that should be coming home actually comes home Reporting missing, damaged, or broken inventory Treating client homes, venues, company vehicles, and rental inventory with care Completing daily vehicle inspections, paperwork, and inventory documentation accurately Following assigned routes, safety procedures, venue requirements, and company meal and rest break policies Helping with warehouse loading, unloading, pulling, and returning inventory as needed

California Driver Requirements Driving is a core responsibility of this position, so there are a few non-negotiables.
You must:
Hold a current, valid California Class C Driver's License Have a driving record that meets Folklore's insurance and driver eligibility requirements Be willing to complete a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check as part of the hiring process Be comfortable safely operating 16'-26' box trucks Be comfortable operating approved pickup truck and trailer combinations, when assigned and properly trained Follow California traffic laws and all Folklore vehicle and driver safety procedures Maintain an acceptable driving record throughout employment What We're Looking For At least 2 years of experience driving similar box trucks, delivery vehicles, moving trucks, or commercial-style vehicles preferred Previous delivery, moving, event rental, installation, logistics, or similar hands-on experience is a plus Experience safely maneuvering larger vehicles in loading docks, venues, residential areas, and tight spaces Experience towing trailers is a plus Strong safety awareness Dependable and punctual Comfortable following routes, schedules, and detailed delivery instructions Strong attention to detail, especially when handling inventory and completing paperwork Professional and friendly when interacting with clients and venue teams Able to work independently and as part of a crew Flexible availability, especially on weekends and during peak event season High school diploma or GED preferred Yep, It's Physical This is not a drop-the-box-at-the-door kind of delivery job. You'll be loading, unloading, carrying, pushing, pulling, assembling, installing, and breaking down event furniture throughout your shift.
The role may require:
Handling items weighing approximately 50-100 lbs. with proper equipment or team assistance when appropriate Frequent lifting and moving of items in the 25-50 lb. range Standing and walking for extended periods Frequent bending, reaching, crouching, kneeling, pushing, and pulling Getting in and out of box trucks throughout the day Working indoors and outdoors in changing weather conditions Safe lifting and teamwork come first. We're moving furniture, not trying out for the Olympics. Event Life Isn't 9-to-5 ☀
