Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Driver C is responsible for activities which include safety checks on vehicle (van or box truck), verification of merchandise against packing slip, and delivery of product to customers according to established routing. The Driver C will also deliver product to designated area indicated by customer and obtains signed documentation to verify delivery •This job is a safety sensitive position
Hours:
First Shift, Monday-Friday, 6:00am- 2:30pm (or when shift is complete) Primary Duties & Responsibilities Inspects truck for defects before and after trips and reports any discrepancies indicating truck condition to supervisor. Verifies merchandise against packing slip Delivers product to customers according to established routing Places product in designated area by customer Obtains signed documentation to verify deliver Picks up stock from customer location that needs to be returned to warehouse. Checks in the returned stock Responsible for cleanliness and basic care of the truck. Quickly reports mechanical problems to the supervisor Communicates with co-workers, management, customers, and others in a courteous and professional manner Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions relating to the Company, safety, and the law Abides by all safety rules and the proper use of all appropriate safety equipment, which includes but is not limited to, proper lifting techniques and the use of back support belts Wears a seat belt at all times while driving the truck. Ensures that any passengers wear seat belts as well. Refrains from engaging in cellular phone call conversations when safety is compromised or when the conversation is enough to distract the driver Reports work-related injuries and vehicle accidents immediately Participates in the Company's semi-annual inventory count
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
High school diploma, or equivalency Successful completion of a forklift-training program prior to operating a forklift or other power equipment, or equivalent experience Experience in high volume warehouse/distribution environment Valid Class C license (non-commercial) Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Demonstrated ability to drive a non-commercial vehicle Basic familiarity with warehousing Good written and verbal communication skills Ability to work specified shifts as needed Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules Ability to read, understand, and follow directions/instructions Working knowledge of warehouse management system equipment Kelly Spicers is an equal opportunity employer and drug free workplace.
