Attention to detail, physical lifting, reliability, and customer service required.
DUTIES:
Load/unload, secure, transport, and stock door and trim materials onto and from a variety of containers including but not limited to truck, forklifts, racks, and pallets. Transports goods safely to designated areas. Interacts with customers professionally and courteously. Collects required signatures for proof of delivery. Provides receipts or other delivery documents to customers. Returns required paperwork to appropriate company officials. Performs basic vehicle upkeep, including fueling, cleaning interior, checking tires and lights, filling fluids, and coordinating routine maintenance. Follow all company safety policies, including no smoking in delivery vehicles. Maintain a clean and professional appearance. Follow proper procedures and promptly report any accidents and vehicle or equipment issues. Performs other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry 75+ pounds. Ability to stand and walk continuously. Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, climb, balance and use hands for material handling. Ability to work around moving mechanical equipment and in outdoor weather conditions. Ability to communicate effectively and utilize visual acuity to operate equipment and read technical information. Occasional exposure to very loud noise (example: jack hammer work) and other typical construction, warehouse, and delivery job-site conditions.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have a valid driver's license and no vehicle moving violations within the last 5 years. 1-2 years warehouse, delivery, or related experience. Familiarity with delivery practices and material handling methods. Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm. Commitment to excellence and high standards. Ability to safely operate or learn to operate material-handling equipment. Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions, safety procedures, and operating manuals. Ability to read and understand maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals. Basic math skills, including adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing in all units of measure. Use whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Ability to manage priorities, workflow, and meet deadlines. Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
