We have been in business for 20+ years and are looking to add motivated, reliable, friendly new members to our team. Our services to the greater Pueblo area include residential and commercial pickup, recycling pickup, roll-off, temporary cleanup cans, port-o-lets, transfer station and recycle drop off.
Basic/Minimum Requirements:
Monday-Friday, 7:00am- 5:00pm Must be 21 years of age or older. Valid State Issued Driver's License and Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) 2+ years Delivery Driver experience (i.e., flatbed truck, pickup truck with trailer, etc.) Route Reading and knowledge of the greater Pueblo area are required. Ability to pass driving test administered by company personnel (i.e., owner/operator, operations manager, and/or designated company personnel). Ability to push, pull, and lift, up to 75lbs. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including entering/exiting the vehicle numerous times a day, loading/unloading, bending, standing, walking, climbing, etc. Demonstrated strong work ethic, (e.g., reliable, dependable, trustworthy). Ability to work in inclement weather (very hot/very cold). Ability to work independently and in team environment. Strong communication skills. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screen required (includes marijuana). This position falls under a quarterly random drug/alcohol screening program.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Attendance - This is an essential business-the expectation is to arrive every day on time and ready to work as scheduled. Absentees and tardies are constantly reviewed, excess of either may lead to termination of employment with company. Duties include driving a flatbed truck and/or pickup w/ trailer, delivery/removal residential toters, delivery/removal port-o-lets, delivery/removal 6yd cans, recording information and completing work orders, container maintenance and inventory. Cleaning totes/ port-o-lets. Pre/post trip daily vehicle inspection report (DVIR) - conduct daily safety and maintenance checks to include checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires. Salvaging and scavenging are prohibited on route and in the yard. Ability to use forks on truck Adhere to Federal/State laws/rules of the road to include company policies. Fuel up truck. Operate or assist in operating waste collection vehicles and equipment safely. Ensure proper disposal of collected waste in accordance with state and federal regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatcher(s) to coordinate schedules and resolve any issues promptly. Provide courteous and professional service to residents and businesses. Wear proper work shoes and clothing - outer layer must be high visibility in color. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including vehicles and tools. Report any hazards, mechanical issues, or route obstructions to supervisor(s). Complete daily vehicle inspection report (DVIR), to include maintenance, safety equipment, tires, and fluid checks. Submit at the end of each day to the Dispatch Manager. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
