U.S. person required due to ITAR restrictions Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Delivery Assurance Specialist to support aerospace supply chain and manufacturing operations in Windsor Locks, Connecticut or Phoenix, Arizona . This role is responsible for driving supplier delivery performance, recovering past-due and at-risk material, and ensuring critical parts are available to support production schedules and customer commitments. The Delivery Assurance Specialist will work directly with suppliers and cross-functional teams to identify constraints, establish recovery plans, resolve material shortages, and drive actions through closure. The ideal candidate brings a strong combination of supplier management, material planning, manufacturing knowledge, SAP expertise, and data analysis skills . This is a highly execution-focused role requiring someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, challenging suppliers when necessary, and taking ownership of delivery issues through resolution. Key ResponsibilitiesDelivery Assurance & Supplier Recovery Lead material and delivery recovery efforts for current, past-due, and at-risk purchase orders across assigned suppliers. Work directly with suppliers to identify the root causes of delivery delays, capacity constraints, material shortages, and other performance issues. Develop and drive supplier recovery plans with clear actions, owners, milestones, and completion dates. Monitor supplier delivery performance and proactively identify risks before they impact manufacturing operations. Facilitate supplier meetings, drive accountability, document commitments, and track corrective actions through closure. Escalate critical supplier or material issues when appropriate and ensure timely resolution. Maintain clear visibility of material status, recovery actions, and potential production impacts. Material Planning & SAP Analysis Utilize SAP to analyze demand signals, purchase orders, material availability, shortages, supply constraints, and delivery status. Review MRP requirements and identify material risks that could impact production schedules. Use data to prioritize recovery activities based on manufacturing requirements and business impact. Develop and maintain Excel-based reports, trackers, and analyses to support supplier and material management. Translate complex supply chain data into clear actions and recommendations for internal stakeholders and suppliers. Manufacturing & Operations Integration Partner closely with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Operations, Quality, Engineering, Planning, and other supporting functions. Translate production priorities and manufacturing requirements into clear supplier execution plans. Ensure material availability is aligned with production schedules and customer commitments. Identify and resolve gaps in material flow, escalation processes, supplier communication, and cross-functional coordination. Support manufacturing readiness by proactively addressing shortages and supplier constraints before they affect production. Maintain strong communication between suppliers and internal manufacturing stakeholders regarding priorities, risks, and recovery activities. Supplier Performance & Continuous Improvement Identify recurring supplier delivery challenges and recommend sustainable corrective actions and process improvements. Support supplier performance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives. Analyze trends in supplier performance to identify systemic risks and opportunities for improvement. Strengthen communication and collaboration across suppliers, regional sites, and internal stakeholder groups. Contribute to operational excellence initiatives focused on improving supply chain maturity, material availability, and long-term delivery performance. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Delivery Assurance, Supplier Management, Material Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing Operations , or a related field. Demonstrated experience driving delivery recovery, material management, supplier performance, or shortage resolution within a manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience using SAP , including MRP, material planning, purchase/order management, reporting, and material status analysis. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, tracking, and decision support. Working knowledge of aerospace parts, materials, manufacturing processes, and supply chain operations. Strong understanding of supplier accountability, escalation management, recovery planning, and action tracking. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to turn data into actionable recovery plans. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively engage suppliers and internal stakeholders. Proven ability to manage multiple supplier issues and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management capabilities. U.S. Citizenship required. Preferred Qualifications Experience within the aerospace, defense, aviation, or advanced manufacturing industries . Direct experience supporting manufacturing or working closely with shop floor operations. Experience managing supplier shortages, past-due material, capacity constraints, or delivery recovery initiatives. Understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes, production planning, and material requirements. Experience supporting supplier performance reviews or continuous improvement initiatives.
