JOB SUMMARY
The Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation and delivery of materials, equipment, and supplies to construction sites, manufacturing locations, and other designated locations. This position regularly operates company vehicles, loads and unloads materials, and ensures deliveries are completed accurately and safely.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities outlined below represent the primary duties of this position. Responsibilities are performed in accordance with company procedures, applicable standards, and job requirements, with the level of supervision and support appropriate to the employee's experience and level of training. Safely operate company vehicles to deliver materials, equipment, and supplies to construction sites, manufacturing facilities, and other designated locations. Load, secure, transport, and unload bundles of pipe, sheet metal, ductwork, HVAC components, and other construction-related materials using safe material-handling practices. Follow all applicable DOT requirements, traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures. Perform required vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns. Ensure loads are properly secured and delivery routes are planned for safe and efficient transportation. Maintain assigned vehicles in a clean, organized, and safe condition and maintain required DOT documentation. Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, supervisors, and construction personnel. Wear company-provided PPE and follow all required safety practices while performing deliveries and working at job sites; perform other duties as assigned.
