Job Description

Job Summary:
The Delivery Driver will move parts, goods, and other merchandise from one location to another. Must be home based in the follow area.
Cape Coral, Port Charlotte, Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Plans and completes an efficient delivery and pick up route for the day. Loads delivery vehicle with parcels scheduled for delivery. Delivers parcels to correct addresses, obtaining signatures and proof of receipt when necessary. Picks up parcels along the scheduled route, including items to be returned, company orders, and other items as requested. Maintains basic records of truck mileage and deliveries made. Ensures that delivery vehicle receives basic service according to maintenance schedule; reports larger service needs and mechanical issues to supervisor. Assists in general warehouse duties when delivery route is completed. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to drive safely. Must be 21 or older. Able to obtain D.O.T. Med Card. Able to Pass D.O.T. drug screen & Physical. Able to pass background check. Ability to use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps. Ability to plan delivery routes. Ability to maintain basic logs and records. Ability to carry out a series of instructions without constant supervision. Able to remain professional and courteous at all times. Able to lift 70 pounds. Self starter. Isuzu NRR box truck 26'
Education and Experience:
Valid driver's license and clean driving record. 2 years truck and delivery driving.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds regularly. Must be able to load and unload packages with and without dollies in various types of weather.
