Duties Safely operate various types of vehicles, including commercial trucks and automobiles, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standards. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely arrivals at each destination. Load and unload merchandise with proper lifting techniques, including heavy lifting and safe lifting practices. Communicate clearly with clients upon delivery, addressing any questions or concerns professionally. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, enhancing customer satisfaction and sales opportunities. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records to ensure seamless operations. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly. Skills Proven experience in commercial driving, route driving, or automobile transportation. Strong knowledge of pricing strategies and basic math skills for transactions or measurements. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team coordination. Demonstrated ability in retail store experience or merchandising is a plus. Ability to build positive customer relationships through friendly service and professional demeanor. Organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently while maintaining accuracy. Familiarity with DOT regulations, heavy lifting techniques, and safe lifting practices to ensure safety at all times.
