Responsibilities Safely operate commercial vehicles, including trucks and automobiles, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standards. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely arrivals at each destination. Load and unload merchandise, practicing safe lifting techniques and heavy lifting practices to prevent injuries. Communicate clearly with clients upon delivery, building strong customer relationships through professional interaction. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance and safety. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, enhancing sales opportunities during deliveries. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records in accordance with organizational policies. Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience in commercial truck driving or automobile transportation preferred. Strong knowledge of route driving, traffic laws, and DOT regulations. Basic math skills for pricing calculations, measurements, and inventory management. Proven customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members. Experience in retail store environments or merchandising is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and follow safe lifting practices regularly. Organizational skills to manage delivery schedules efficiently and keep accurate records.
