Job Description
Overview We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent driving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle heavy lifting and manual transmission vehicles. Duties Safely operate delivery vehicles, including those with manual transmission, to transport goods to designated locations. Load and unload products using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts. Follow assigned routes for efficient delivery while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any discrepancies or issues encountered during transport. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any changes. Assist in moving items within the warehouse as needed, ensuring proper handling of all products. Experience Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with route driving and navigation skills is essential. Experience in a warehouse setting is a plus, particularly with heavy lifting and operating equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while meeting deadlines. Strong physical stamina to handle heavy lifting and prolonged periods of driving.
