JOB SUMMARY

This position is part time with 20-30 hours per week. The Delivery Driver is responsible for operating company owned trucks to deliver frozen bait and related products to customers throughout the states of Florida, Georgia, and Alabama. The Delivery Driver is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and associated equipment (GPS, cell phone, rear view camera, pallet trucks, hand truck, etc.) and will be required to perform loading, unloading and other delivery and warehouse duties. The selected candidate must be flexible with start times, assigned routes, overnight trips and any other duties. This position requires a CDL A or B with a minimum of 3 years experience.

Class B:

Any single vehicle which has a gross vehicle weight rating or gross vehicle weight of 26,001 pounds or more. Our drivers are the ambassadors of Aylesworth's Fish & Bait to our customers. Delivery Drivers must have the ability to provide ongoing exceptional, proficient service to our customers and suppliers and engage with co-workers and others in a professional and friendly manner.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Clean driving record Demonstrate safe and efficient driving skills Working knowledge of DOT regulations Prior delivery driving experience required Proficient at routing deliveries, using GPS equipment Repeatedly climb/step up into and out of a truck cab and the frozen box Grip, lift, push, pull, and carry 75 lbs. over, up and down inclines, stairs, changes in walking surfaces and elevations Ability to walk, stand and sit for extended periods of time inside and out of a frozen environment Ability to operate a two or four wheel hand truck, pallet jack, power truck and forklift Forklift certification a plus Pass a pre-employment substance abuse screening, a background check and present a valid (current) DOT medical card Demonstrate exemplary customer service skills by interacting with and servicing customers daily Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision Attention to detail and accuracy

RESPONSIBILITIES

Drive company trucks in a professional and safe manner at all times Deliver correct products to customers at specified locations in a timely manner Pick up company property or products as instructed Manage bills of lading Ensure cargo is secured properly compliant with safety requirements Unload and stack products for customers in a friendly courteous manner Collect funds as directed on invoices or delivery documents Assist in maintaining the security of the company funds, the warehouse and trucks Maintain all equipment associated with delivery/pick-up including two or four wheel hand truck, pallet jack, power truck and forklift Ensure that delivery paperwork is completed as required Ensure truck pre-trip and post trip inspections are performed and recorded daily Maintain a clean vehicle; perform minor maintenance or make minor adjustments as necessary Maintain records of cargo, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel expenditure Maintain electronic logs/manual log books Perform other warehouse or delivery duties as assigned Comply with DOT and OSHA standards Follow Aylesworth's Safety Program and Policy Handbook at all times Communicate effectively with managers, other drivers and customers by means of wireless devices verbally and in writing Report any incidents, mechanical problems or abnormal conditions to management

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be at least 25 years old with a valid CDL A or B driver's license Clean MVR driving record Minimum 3 year delivery driving experience required No serious offenses in the previous 5 years or pattern of unsafe practices Willingness to work flexible work hours, schedules and overnight runs, including occasional weekends Ability to deal with issues, breakdowns or emergencies that may arise on planned routes Must be in excellent physical condition. Ability to lift 75lbs repeatedly without issue No allergy to any seafood product. Effective communication skills, verbally and in writing Familiarity with use of email, cell phones (and texting) Ability to speak and/or understand Spanish a plus.
