Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Furniture Delivery Driver and become the vital link between our company and satisfied customers! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely transporting furniture and related items from our warehouse to customers' homes or commercial locations. Your enthusiasm for driving, manual handling, and delivering exceptional customer service will help ensure a smooth, efficient, and positive experience for every client. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your driving skills while contributing to a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Responsibilities Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks and personal vehicles, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Load, secure, and unload furniture using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and dollies Conduct thorough inspections of delivery vehicles before and after routes to ensure safety and compliance with maintenance schedules Plan efficient delivery routes using mobile devices or route planning tools to maximize productivity and timeliness Interact professionally with customers during deliveries, providing excellent customer service by addressing questions or concerns with a friendly attitude Follow safe lifting practices during manual handling of heavy or bulky furniture items to prevent injuries Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, including signatures, delivery logs, and incident reports when necessary Skills Valid Florida driver's license ( Salary bonus for CDL honders) with experience operating box trucks or commercial trucks; personal vehicle delivery experience is a plus Knowledge of adhering to traffic regulations, DOT regulations, and safe driving practices in various environments Ability to operate large vehicles confidently and safely Familiarity with warehouse operations, material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, and safe lifting techniques Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally during interactions with clients Experience in route driving, load & unload procedures, and working with mobile devices for navigation or record keeping Join us as a Furniture Delivery Driver if you're passionate about driving safely while delivering quality service!
