Job Description
Overview Join our growing team as a CDL Flooring and Furniture Delivery Driver, where your expertise in commercial truck driving will ensure the safe and efficient white glove delivery of flooring materials and furniture to our valued customers. Responsibilities Safely operate box trucks and flatbed trucks with bumper pull trailers equipped for freight delivery across local routes, adhering to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Load and unload flooring materials and furniture using proper manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo integrity and safety during transit. Navigate using GPS systems efficiently to meet delivery schedules while optimizing routes for fuel efficiency and time management. Deliver products directly to customer locations, providing excellent service while verifying order accuracy and securing deliveries. Maintain compliance with all trucking regulations related to load securement, vehicle inspections, and documentation requirements. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety standards are met; report any mechanical issues promptly. Requirements Valid CDL license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial truck driving is essential. Proven experience in delivery driving of box trucks and/or bumper pull trailers Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations (Hazmat), and safety protocols for transporting dangerous goods. Strong understanding of GPS navigation systems Physical ability to handle freight manually and perform load & unload tasks safely; must pass physical assessments as required. Pay:
