Duties Safely operate delivery box truck, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Load, unload, and secure furniture items using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as hand trucks and carts. Execute efficient route driving to ensure timely deliveries across designated areas while maintaining safe driving practices. Assist customers with the delivery process by providing excellent customer service, answering questions, and ensuring their satisfaction. Unload, unbox, and assemble new merchandise from vendors for the sales floor. Perform service calls and minor repairs for merchandise that isn't functioning properly. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to uphold safety standards and prevent breakdowns. Support warehouse operations by organizing inventory, preparing items for delivery, and managing manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and moving furniture. Document delivery activities accurately using mobile devices, including delivery confirmations, incident reports, and route logs. Skills Ability to operate 16' box trucks with automatic transmission confidently. Strong manual handling skills with an emphasis on safe lifting practices and heavy lifting techniques. Familiarity with material handling equipment such as hand trucks and moving carts. Excellent customer service skills to ensure positive interactions during deliveries. Knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and weight handling in the workplace to guarantee safety on every trip. Capable of managing multiple deliveries efficiently while adhering to route schedules using mobile devices for navigation and documentation. Pay:
