A Sales Delivery Driver drives a truck or other vehicle over established routes or within an established territory and sells or delivers goods, such as food products, including restaurant take-out items, or pick up or deliver items such as commercial laundry. May also take orders, collect payment, or stock merchandise at point of delivery. Includes newspaper delivery drivers. Excludes gig economy drivers.
The Whole Goods Delivery Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently hauling and delivering Whole Goods equipment to customers. This position requires dependability, good communication, flexibility, basic equipment knowledge, and the ability to follow delivery schedules. The driver provides customers with ETAs, collects checks or paperwork when needed, answers basic customer questions, and communicates any delays or concerns in a timely manner. This role is important in making sure equipment is delivered on time and in good condition so customers can keep their cattle fed, healthy, and operations running smoothly. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Safely load, haul, secure, and deliver Whole Goods equipment to customers. Follow assigned delivery schedules and delivery instructions. Provide customers with estimated arrival times and communicate any delays, concerns, or changes to the Equipment Manager and customer in a timely manner. Collect checks, obtain signatures, and complete required delivery paperwork accurately when needed. Answer basic customer questions and direct more detailed questions or concerns to the appropriate team member. Represent the company in a positive, friendly, and professional manner during deliveries. Follow all company safety procedures, including loading, unloading, equipment tie-down, trailer securement, oversized load requirements, and safe work practices around customers, cattle, equipment, trailers, and yard/shop areas. Complete required pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintain accurate and current driver logs and related records, and promptly report any truck, trailer, equipment, or safety concerns. Use good judgment when driving in changing weather, road, or delivery site conditions. Assist with basic equipment handling and operation as needed. Operate loaders or other equipment as needed, if trained and approved. Maintain strong attendance and dependability, as delivery schedules are time-sensitive and changes can impact customers, coworkers, and the rest of the weekly schedule. Qualifications Valid Class A CDL required. Must maintain an acceptable driving record and meet company insurance requirements. Experience hauling oversized loads preferred. Experience with RGN trailers is preferred, but willing to train the right person. Basic equipment knowledge preferred, including experience loading, tying down, securing, and hauling equipment safely. Basic computer knowledge to view and understand delivery schedules. Good communication, time management, and customer service skills. Self-motivated, dependable, flexible, and able to work independently while following the schedule and direction provided. Loader or equipment operating experience is helpful but can be trained. Physical Requirements Ability to climb in and out of a semi and trailer throughout the day. Ability to move safely around equipment, trailers, customer locations, and yard/shop areas. Ability to safely complete loading, unloading, securement, climbing, and other delivery-related tasks.
Schedule / Travel
Expectations Flexible schedule based on delivery needs. Home every weekend. Home most nights, with very few overnight stays required. Some delivery days may run late depending on customer needs, travel distance, weather, road conditions, or loading/unloading time.

$27.00 - $32.00 per hour
