Job Summary Join our dynamic delivery team as an Amazon Delivery Driver, where you'll play a vital role in connecting customers with their packages efficiently and reliably. Responsibilities Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks and personal vehicles, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Load and unload packages using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts when necessary. Plan and follow optimized delivery routes using mobile devices to ensure timely deliveries across assigned areas. Deliver packages directly to customers' homes or businesses with professionalism and a focus on customer satisfaction. Handle heavy lifting safely, employing proper manual handling practices to prevent injury during loading, unloading, and delivery processes. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including proof of delivery and route documentation, utilizing mobile technology. Communicate effectively with dispatch and team members to report issues or delays promptly. Requirements Prior experience in delivery driving, warehouse operations, or courier services is highly preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial truck driving or box trucks is a plus. Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission vehicles and material handling equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks. Knowledge of safe lifting practices, heavy lifting techniques, and adherence to DOT regulations for weight handling in the workplace. Experience with route driving, customer service skills, and familiarity with mobile devices for navigation and communication. Ability to perform physical tasks including moving boxes, manual handling of packages, and sustained manual labor during shifts. Strong commitment to safety protocols including adherence to traffic laws and workplace safety standards.
