Job Description
Position Summary The Powersports Delivery Driver is responsible for safely transporting motorcycles, ATVs, side-by-sides, personal watercraft, snowmobiles, and other powersports vehicles to and from customers, vendors, manufacturers, auctions, and dealership locations. This position represents the dealership during every delivery and pickup by providing exceptional customer service while ensuring all vehicles are transported safely and professionally. In addition to transportation duties, the Delivery Driver assists with inventory movement, lot organization, dealership maintenance, and supports the sales, service, and parts departments as needed. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesVehicle Transportation Safely load, secure, transport, and unload powersports vehicles. Deliver sold units to customers and provide a professional handoff experience. Pick up customer units for service appointments. Transport units between dealership locations, manufacturers, auctions, vendors, and events. Operate dealership trucks and trailers in accordance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers. Maintain accurate delivery logs and required paperwork. Customer Service Represent the dealership professionally during every customer interaction. Review delivery paperwork and obtain required customer signatures. Communicate delivery status and estimated arrival times. Report customer concerns or vehicle issues promptly to management. Inventory & Dealership Support Assist with receiving new inventory. Move and stage units for the sales and service departments. Keep the lot organized and display-ready. Assist with event setup, dealership displays, and promotional activities. Help maintain a clean and organized dealership, lot, and warehouse. Perform miscellaneous errands and dealership support tasks as assigned. Equipment & Safety Ensure all loads are properly secured using approved tie-down methods. Report any vehicle, trailer, or equipment maintenance needs immediately. Follow all dealership safety procedures. Maintain a clean company truck and trailer at all times. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment when required. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required. Ability to operate pickup trucks with trailers safely and confidently. Experience hauling trailers is preferred. Forklift certification is preferred (or willingness to obtain certification). Previous powersports, automotive, transportation, or delivery experience is a plus. Strong customer service and communication skills. Dependable, organized, and self-motivated. Ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism. Physical Requirements Frequently lift up to 75 pounds. Ability to push, pull, and maneuver motorcycles and powersports vehicles. Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb throughout the workday. Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to safely secure and transport heavy equipment. Work Schedule Full-time position. Schedule determined by dealership operating hours. Occasional overtime, weekends, or travel may be required to meet customer delivery schedules or dealership events.
