Responsibilities Safely operate various vehicles including commercial trucks and automobiles to deliver products to retail stores and clients. Follow established routes efficiently while adhering to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standards. Manage delivery schedules by planning optimal routes, considering traffic, weather, and delivery priorities. Assist with loading and unloading merchandise using safe lifting practices for heavy items, ensuring proper handling and organization. Build strong customer relationships through clear communication, professional conduct, and prompt service. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction and sales goals. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports in compliance with organizational policies. Skills Proven experience in commercial driving, route driving, or heavy vehicle operation with a clean driving record. Strong knowledge of pricing strategies, merchandising, and basic math for transactions and inventory management. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and internal coordination. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting practices. Familiarity with DOT regulations, automobile transportation laws, and safety protocols. Retail store experience or customer service background that emphasizes relationship building. Organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently within tight timeframes. Experience in sales or upselling techniques to maximize revenue opportunities. Military background or disciplined approach to adhere strictly to safety standards and operational procedures.
