SENIOR CITIZEN MEAL PROGRAM
Employment Opportunity Positions Available:
6 We are seeking dependable, caring, and responsible individuals to join our Senior Citizen Meal Program. Our team will work together to prepare, organize, and deliver nutritious meals to senior citizens in our community while providing friendly, respectful service. Work Schedule Part-Time/Full-Time Approximately 30-40 hours per week Monday - Friday Work hours generally between 5:00 AM and 1:00 PM No weekends No holidays Specific schedules may vary based on program needs. Position 1: Meal Program Manager - 1 Position Available The Meal Program Manager will oversee the daily operations of the senior citizen meal program and supervise the food preparation and delivery team. Primary Responsibilities Oversee the daily operation of the meal program. Coordinate meal preparation, packaging, and delivery schedules. Supervise and support Food Prep/Drivers and Drivers. Ensure meals are prepared, packaged, and delivered according to program requirements. Maintain appropriate food-safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards. Coordinate delivery routes and assignments. Monitor meal counts and ensure adequate meals are prepared each day. Maintain program records, schedules, and required documentation. Communicate with senior meal recipients, staff, vendors, and program partners as needed. Address delivery issues, staffing concerns, and other day-to-day program needs. Assist with food preparation, packing, loading, or deliveries when necessary. Help maintain a positive, respectful, and compassionate environment for both employees and senior participants. Perform other duties necessary for the successful operation of the meal program. Qualifications Dependable, organized, and able to work independently. Strong communication and organizational skills. Comfortable supervising and working with a small team. Comfortable working with senior citizens. Ability to follow and enforce food-safety and program procedures. Ability to maintain accurate records. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Previous supervisory, food-service, senior-care, community-service, or program-management experience preferred. Position 2: Food Prep/Driver - 2 Positions Available Food Prep/Drivers will assist with preparing and packaging meals and will also deliver meals to senior citizens. Primary Responsibilities Assist with daily meal preparation and packaging. Follow established menus, recipes, portion sizes, and dietary requirements. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary food-preparation area. Follow proper food-handling, sanitation, and temperature-control procedures. Package meals for delivery. Assist with organizing meals for assigned delivery routes. Load meals and supplies safely into the program vehicle. Safely drive a program vehicle and deliver meals along assigned routes. Provide courteous and respectful interaction with senior meal recipients. Maintain accurate delivery records. Report missed deliveries, recipient concerns, or other issues to the Manager. Assist with kitchen cleanup and other meal program duties. Perform other duties as needed. Qualifications Dependable and punctual. Comfortable working with senior citizens. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Able to safely lift, carry, and move food containers and supplies. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Ability to follow food-safety and sanitation procedures. Previous cooking, food-service, delivery, or customer-service experience preferred but not required. Position 3: Meal Delivery Driver - 3 Positions Available Meal Delivery Drivers will safely transport and deliver prepared meals to senior citizens throughout assigned delivery areas. Primary Responsibilities Pick up prepared meals and organize them for delivery. Load meals and supplies safely into the program vehicle. Safely drive assigned delivery routes. Deliver meals to senior citizens in a timely and courteous manner. Provide friendly and respectful customer service to meal recipients. Follow all delivery procedures and assigned routes. Maintain accurate delivery records. Report missed deliveries, recipient concerns, or other issues to the Manager. Keep the vehicle clean and report maintenance or safety concerns. Assist with loading and unloading meals and supplies. Assist with other meal program duties as needed. Qualifications Dependable, punctual, and responsible. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Safe driving habits. Comfortable interacting with senior citizens. Able to work independently. Able to safely lift and carry meal containers and supplies. Previous delivery, transportation, customer-service, or food-service experience preferred but not required. Pay:
$16.00 - $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 40.0 per week
