Melrose Park, IL Position:
Part-Time Evening Office/Billing Clerk Employment Type:
Part-Time Schedule:
Monday•Friday, 4:00 PM•10:00 PM (hours may vary)
Pay:
$20.50/hour
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of billing/auditing experience Knowledge of freight billing practices preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Effective time management and ability to multi-task Proficient in answering phones, routing calls, and handling emails Familiarity with office equipment (copy/fax machines, computers, email systems)
Responsibilities:
Check in drivers and verify accuracy of Bills of Lading (BOL) and Proof of Delivery (POD) Answer phones, route calls, take messages, and respond to emails Review BOLs for partner carriers and distribute to billing clerk Ensure all PODs are accounted for by matching with driver manifests Process COD shipments, including handling checks and cash Enter carrier information into Cheetah Service Desk Collaborate with Dispatch and Dock Supervisors Collect end-of-month mileage sheets from drivers and issue new ones Scan and index BOLs and PODs Perform other office duties as directed by management
